One Artist Show

The Merchant Street Art Gallery of Artists with Autism is hosting an art show and reception featuring artist Barry Lorberbaum from Chicago. The reception will be held on Friday, March 1st at 6:30pm at the gallery, 365 E Merchant Street, in Kankakee Illinois. The show runs from March 1st to March 30th.

His show will feature his 33 foot and 5 foot watercolor which will be displayed in a circle to be viewed from the outside or inside. Barry’s wooden “sculpture puzzles,” designed with a scroll saw as his paint brush, will be displayed, too. His sculpture puzzles have some solitary and other interchangeable pieces. Barry has a piece of art featured on the mural on the outer wall of Merchant Street Art Gallery.

Barry was born in Milwaukee Wisconsin and now resides in Chicago with his wife. He has a bachelor’s degree from DeVry University. Along with creating sculpture puzzles and other art, Barry enjoys writing poetry. He has autism, too.
